After your child hears the target sound in words and sentences in the Auditory Bombardment phase, she is ready to attempt repeating what she hears. This phase is called Modeling, because first the target sound is modeled, or pronounced correctly, by the video or parent, and then the child repeats the target sound immediately.
Remember, in the modeling phase, always begin at the isolation level (say the sound, then have the child repeat you), then move on to the word level (say the sound in words), then have the child repeat you, then move on to the sentence level.
You move on from the isolation level to the word level, and from the word level to the sentence level, ONLY when the child can say the target sound at each level WITH 80% ACCURACY over three consecutive sessions.
Remember, ONLY work on one position of the target sound at once, i.e., initial, middle, or final position. The home practice videos will only focus on one position per video. Your child may be able to pronounce the target sound easier in one position over another. Begin here where the child will have success, then move on to the harder positions.
